Voice
Response Unit
More commonly known as Telephone
Banking, the Credit Union now has in place a Voice Response Unit (VRU)
that makes it possible to access your Credit Union account 24 hours a day 7
days a week.
The VRU is accessed using the keypad on
your touch-tone telephone. Any member may simply call the Credit Union,
at their convenience, to obtain account balances, request checks, get current
loan rates, and access a loan calculator.
Checks requested through the VRU during
operating hours will be available for same day pickup or, if you choose to have
the check mailed, will be sent out the next business day.
Checks requested through the VRU after
business hours will be available for pickup the next business day or, if you
choose to have the check mailed, will be sent out the next business day.

Access Instructions:
If you choose to use the VRU, it is best to use a phone
other than your cell phone, as you may miss some menu options while entering
selections on your key pad. If the VRU instructs you to enter the pound sign
(#) and you do not, you will be reconnected with the previous menu.
1. Dial
the Butler Co. Teachers Federal Credit Union office
2. The
VRU will respond: “Welcome to the Butler County Teacher’s Federal
Credit Union Voice Response System. If you would like the automated voice
response system, please press 1 on your keypad…”
3. Enter
your VRU Account Number as shown on your statement, followed by the # sign
(Account
Number 1/9999.0 would be VRU Account Number 9999)
4. Enter
your VRU Access Code, followed by the #
sign
(If
this is the first time you are using the VRU, your Access Code is the last four
numbers of the primary account holder’s Social Security Number, the VRU
will prompt you to change the Access Code the first time you log on.)
5. The
VRU will proceed to the Master Menu:

If you prefer to speak to a credit union representative, you
may still do so during regular business hours. However, if all lines into the
office are in use, you will hear a busy signal and must try your call later.
Also, when the credit union is closed, the automated system will automatically
inform you of our correct hours of operation for that day instead of connecting
you with the office.
If you are still unsure how to access
this system or are having difficulty with the system, please contact the
office, our staff will be happy to help you.
